The UPMCMEP Department of Dermatology would like to welcome the following physicians who will be joining us to begin their Residency in Dermatology in July 2009.
- Inderjit Chabra from the State University of New York Stony Brook School of Medicine.
- Elizabeth Juhas from Drexel University College of Medicine
- Nisha Patel from Georgetown University School of Medicine
- Patrick Safo from Harvard Medical School.
October 2008:
Adar Berghoff, MD, a second year resident in the UPMCMEP Department of Dermatology is the recipient of the award for “Best Oral Abstract Presentation” at the 2008 American Society of Dermatopathology Annual Meeting in San Francisco.
August 2008:
UPMCMEP Department of Dermatology would like to announce the following new appointments effective August 1st, 2008:
- Joseph C. English III, MD as Clinical Vice Chairman for Quality and Innovation
- Larisa Geskin, MD as Residency Program Director
- Timothy Patton, DO as Associate Residency Program Director
- Laura Ferris, MD, PhD as Medical Director of Falk Clinic
January 2008:
Joseph C. English III, MD, Associate Professor of Dermatology and Program Director was selected as one of three Associate Editors for Medical Dermatology for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology starting in April 2008.
Bruce Brod, MD, a 1991 PITT DERM graduate, was awarded the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology "Dermatologist of the Year Award".
